Sculptural Buns Are Trending For Spring

From the red carpet to front row at fashion week, if there’s one flattering hair trend that we’re currently obsessed with, it’s the sculptural bun. While a slicked bun never really goes out of style, a sculptural look – by which we mean different shapes in the “bun” part of the hairstyle – can completely transform what is an otherwise simple silhouette.
Other celebrities that have worn their hair in a sculptural bun include Margaret Qualley – whose brilliant hairstyle at the Oscars almost resembled origami, such was its many knots and lacquered curls – and Ashley Graham, who sported a double knot in Paris a few weeks ago. Saffron Hocking has also tried the trend.
While a good brush (like our Everyday Brush) and Almost Everything Cream are the ticket to a luxurious shine and flyaway-free finish, most of us will need some help when it comes to creating the sculptural part of the hair equation. We recommend assembling some hair inspo pics, taking them to your hairdresser and see what you can work on.
A great hairstyle for events and weddings, you can really make it your own – and as these A-listers prove, it looks incredibly good.
