5 Cool Hair Colour Trends For Spring 2025
Considering a switch-up in the hair colour department this spring? So are we. The brighter months call for hair colour that feels a little lighter to reflect warmer skin tones. Here, we spoke to some of our colourists to find out the shades they're loving this season.

The new blonde

“I have noticed that a lot of people are moving away from heavy blondes in favour of colour that embraces a lot more of the natural tones in the hair, says Damian, colourist at Hershesons Belgravia. Noting that he is using plenty of warm blonde shades there’s one for everyone it’s a more bespoke approach to good colour that ultimately lends a natural, glowy finish to the hair, rather than looking done.

Strawberry

Since many of us naturally segue into lighter tones when the warmer months hit, there are different ways to update the hair – and they don’t have to be extreme. “A lot of my clients with deeper auburn hair are reaching for a more strawberry hue as we come into spring,” says Maxine, who works at our Fitzrovia salon. Meanwhile, those with brunette colour are lifting it slightly with a few, ultra-pretty ribbons of caramel through the head – it’s subtle, but it makes all the difference.

Gold dust bronde

According to Hannah Gayle, colourist at Hershesons Belgravia, it’s all about gold dust bronde for springtime. “I am obsessed with this reflective, eye-catching colour for spring and summer,” she says. “It features rich caramel colours and pop of lighter tones, making it the perfect colour for darker brunettes wanting to add lighter pieces without going the whole hog, and great for those with lighter hair, who want more dimension.

Pearly brunette

Another great way to level up your brown hair this spring is by trying the pearly brunette trend. “It’s a rich brown with an ashy hue that does a good job of reflecting the light – it’s really natural and beautiful,” says Veronica at Hershesons Belgravia

California blonde

Want to emulate Mary Kate Olsen’s signature lived-in blonde look? Then try California blonde, which – says Veronica – is giving virgin colour but with a sense of brightness that makes hair look totally sun-kissed. Colour like this only gets better in the sun too.
