From Curtains To Full Fringes: How To Style Every Kind Of Bang
When it comes to getting bangs, one of the biggest concerns amongst our clients is whether they’ll be able to style them when they leave the salon. It’s a worry that’s warranted, because we’ve all had a moment where our hair looks amazing in the salon, but doesn’t fit the bill when we’ve washed and dried it ourselves.

However, styling your bangs isn’t as difficult as it looks – meaning you can reap all of the face-framing benefits that come with them this autumn. All you need to do is know the simple tricks of the trade.

The first thing to note is that every kind of fringe is best styled when the hair is wet – so just out of the shower. You’ll end up with a smoother, more defined finish when you start here – just squeeze out moisture using a microfibre towel if you have one. We also like to add Almost Everything Cream through the hair, reserving the leftovers for the fringe area to take down frizz, add shine and encourage definition.

After that, take a round-bristle brush, like our 33mm Pro Blow Dry Brush, which has been specifically designed with beautiful blow dries (and fringes!) in mind, and your hair dryer, with your nozzle in place. Pulling the whole fringe forward, dry the hair downwards, from the root to the tip, rolling under at the end. Most people part the hair, then style the fringe on each side, which doesn’t create the kind of bangs most of us want. When you pull them forward, then sweep back afterwards, you’ll notice a more professional look.
